Dubai International Airport Halts Operations After Drone Attack
Operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) were temporarily suspended following reports of a drone attack. The decision was made to ensure the safety of passengers, airport staff, and flight crews.
Drone Incident Captured on Video
Social media platforms have seen the circulation of a video purportedly showing the drone incident. The footage appears to depict an unmanned aerial vehicle exploding and emitting smoke. Witnesses claim the drone collided directly with an aircraft.
Official Confirmation and Safety Measures
The Dubai Media Office confirmed the temporary halt in airport operations. An official statement read: "For the safety of passengers, airport staff, and airline crews, operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) have been temporarily suspended. All procedures are being carried out in accordance with security protocols."
Previous Incidents
This is not the first security concern at the airport. On March 1, Dubai International Airport experienced a drone attack that resulted in injuries to four individuals. Separately, reports also emerged of fires at Tehran's Mehrabad International Airport following alleged Israeli and US airstrikes.
