A harrowing road accident unfolded on the Samara-Shymkent highway in the Aktobe region, where a roadside guardrail penetrated a vehicle's interior, leaving the driver hospitalized.

The incident involved a Toyota sedan that veered off the road and struck a metal guardrail. The impact was so severe that the guardrail pierced through the car's cabin.

Driver Suffers Injuries

The 39-year-old driver, a resident of Aktobe city, was traveling from the village of Kobda towards the regional center. According to preliminary police reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the collision with the guardrail.

Images circulating on social media depict the extent of the damage, showing the metal structure entering the driver's side of the car and exiting through the other side, creating a large opening in the vehicle's body.

Authorities confirmed that the man was alone in the car at the time of the accident. He was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Investigation Underway

The Aktobe Regional Police Department stated that the circumstances surrounding the accident are currently under investigation. They urged all road users to strictly adhere to traffic rules, observe speed limits, and exercise extreme caution while driving.
