Kazakh Boxers Dominate World Rankings: Five Retain Top Spots
The World Boxing Federation has updated its amateur boxing rankings, with several Kazakh athletes securing top positions across various weight classes. This strong performance highlights Kazakhstan's growing influence in the international amateur boxing scene.
Kazakhstan's Dominance in the Rankings
Five Kazakh boxers have successfully defended their number one spots in their respective weight categories. These include Sanzar Tashkenbay (up to 50 kg), Makhmud Sabirkhan (up to 55 kg), Torekhan Sabirkhan (up to 70 kg), Aibek Oralbay (over 90 kg), and Natalia Bogdanova (up to 70 kg).
Further demonstrating the depth of talent, Nazym Kyzaibay (up to 48 kg), Aidana Abikeyeva (up to 65 kg), and Nurbek Oralbay (up to 80 kg) have secured second-place rankings.
The top three also feature several Kazakh athletes, including Arua Balkybekova (up to 51 kg), Nadezhda Ryabets (up to 80 kg), Dina Islambekova (over 80 kg), Orazbek Assylkulov (up to 60 kg), Sabizhan Akkalykov (up to 75 kg), and Nurbek Oralbay (up to 85 kg).

In related news, the second stage of the World Boxing Cup is scheduled to take place in Guiyang, China, from June 15th to 21st.
