Ministry Proposes Digital Shift

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has published a draft order on the open portal of legal acts, outlining changes to the rules for issuing permits for vehicle and trailer modifications. The primary goal is to significantly automate the application process.

Faster and More Convenient Procedures

Once these innovations are implemented, drivers will no longer need to submit a portion of their required documents in paper form. Instead, this information will be automatically accessed from state information systems. These updates are intended to align current regulations with updated legislation, making the entire procedure quicker and more user-friendly.

Required Documents for Modification

Applicants will still need to bring their modified vehicle to a public service center to submit their application. Additionally, documents for technical expertise, similar to previous requirements, may be needed, along with other supplementary paperwork.

What Constitutes Official Modification?

Officially modifying a vehicle's construction is crucial for ensuring safety. For instance, changes such as installing a gas cylinder, altering the engine, changing the body type, or modifying the steering system require official registration. Any such alteration must be officially recorded to guarantee road safety.
