Almaty is set to see a major infrastructure upgrade with plans to extend Satpayev Street all the way to the Eastern Bypass Road (VOAD). This development is expected to significantly enhance connectivity within the city.

Project Details Unveiled

The Almaty Department of Management of State Assets has announced a tender for the development of design and estimate documentation for the extension of Satpayev Street. The project will cover the section from Lugansky Street to VOAD.

A substantial budget of 359 million tenge (excluding VAT) has been allocated specifically for the preparation of this crucial design and estimate documentation. This investment underscores the importance of the project for the city's future development.

Timeline and Scope

Designers are tasked with completing the project documentation and submitting it for state expertise by June 30, 2027. While the exact length of the future road will be determined during the design phase, the project is anticipated to be a significant undertaking.

The planning must also account for the region's seismic activity, which can reach up to 9 points. Additionally, a forest pathological study will be required for the green spaces within the construction zone, ensuring environmental considerations are integrated into the development.
