Tragedy in Kazakhstan: Two Ninth Graders Found Deceased in Village

A somber discovery has been made in the village of Karakemer, located in the Korday district of Kazakhstan's Zhambyl region. The bodies of two ninth-grade students were found, sending ripples of concern through the community.

The two young individuals, though attending different schools, were reportedly close friends. While preliminary assumptions point towards suicide, official confirmation of the cause of death is still pending further investigation.

Official Response and Support

According to the regional ombudsman for children's rights, both families affected by this tragedy are large and considered socially secure. This highlights that such devastating events can affect anyone, regardless of socioeconomic status.

The situation is being closely monitored by the Akim (Governor) of the Zhambyl region. Representatives from the children's rights ombudsman's office and the education department have visited the village. Psychologists are actively engaged in providing support to the classmates and parents of the deceased students.

Criminal Investigation Underway

Gul'sara Mukhtarqulova, head of the press service for the Zhambyl region's Department of Police, confirmed that a criminal case has been initiated regarding the suspected suicide incidents in the Korday district. "Necessary investigative actions are currently being carried out, aimed at a comprehensive, complete, and objective clarification of all circumstances of the incident," she stated.
