A brutal and unprovoked attack has left a family in mourning after a 20-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the Talgar district of the Almaty region, Kazakhstan. His sister has come forward, describing the incident not as a random fight, but as a premeditated and cold-blooded assault.

A Coordinated and Fatal Assault

The victim, Anvar Musaev, was allegedly surrounded and attacked by a group of more than ten individuals on April 12, 2026. According to his sister, who shared the harrowing details on social media, Musaev was given no chance to defend himself before succumbing to multiple stab wounds at the scene. She emphasized that the attack was planned and carried out with malicious intent.

Allegations of Pressure and Witness Intimidation

The grieving sister claims that the family possesses video evidence of the attack and has identified over 30 witnesses. Despite this, she states that only one person has been detained so far. Furthermore, the family alleges they are facing pressure to reconcile and sign documents dropping their demands.

Police Investigation Underway

Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is ongoing. A 20-year-old suspect has been arrested and taken into custody. In connection with hooliganism charges, three other individuals were detained and placed in a temporary detention center. Two suspects have been placed under house arrest, while a minor involved has been subjected to measures not involving isolation. Criminal cases have been initiated under articles related to murder and hooliganism. All witnesses have been identified and interviewed, and the investigation is reportedly under special supervision by the leadership of the Almaty Regional Police Department.
