Astana Gears Up for Massive International Children's Day Celebration
Astana is preparing for a grand celebration of International Children's Day on June 1st, with approximately 100 diverse events planned across the city. The extensive program is thoughtfully segmented to cater to various age groups, ensuring engaging activities for every child.
For the Youngest Ones: 'Besik Alemi'
The festivities kick off with the traditional stroller parade, 'Arba FEST,' at Youth Park. Simultaneously, Presidential Park will host a children's sports competition for toddlers titled 'Shapshan Bobek.'
'Balapan Alemi' for Ages 3-6
This age group can look forward to the III International Clowns Festival. Participants will march from the Baiterek monument to Lovers' Park near the Khan Shatyr shopping center. An evening concert featuring festival artists will take place at the Amphitheater.
Additionally, city polyclinics will offer free check-ups with pediatric dentists from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
'Bilim men Arman Alemi' for Ages 7-10
The 'Kөңілді старттар' (Fun Starts) games will commence in the Kirpichny residential area on June 1st, followed by a similar event in the Ondyrys residential area an hour later. A fashion show featuring children's designs will be held at the Khan Shatyr shopping and entertainment center. School No. 64 will host a creative competition titled 'World Through Children's Eyes,' while the Technical and Artistic Creativity Center will showcase children's works and host workshops.
'Zhas Urken' for Ages 11-14
From May 25th to June 1st, Central Park, Presidential Park, and Zhetysu Park will host the 'For a Happy Childhood' event. This initiative will educate children on safety rules for water, streets, and the internet, as well as how to avoid injuries and dangerous situations.
'Bolashakqa Qadam' for Teenagers
On June 1st, Astana will host the international drone soccer championship, 'Astana FIDA Drone Soccer Championship.' The Amphitheater will feature the 'QosymshaFest' festival, and a competition called 'Colorful Mosaic' will be held at the city square in collaboration with the Opera and Ballet Theater.
'Bakytty Otbasy' for Family Values
A family sports event, 'Kids RUN,' will take place on the ski-roller track in Central Park on June 1st. Young families can participate in a drawing class titled 'Family is a Haven of Happiness' at Presidential Park. A festive concert will follow at the 'Ailand' family entertainment center.
Several courtyards are also scheduled to open as part of the celebrations, including locations on Republic Avenue, Abay Avenue, Gabdullin Street, Zhurgenov Street, Azirbayev Street, Koshkarbayev Street, Kumisbekov Street, Zhenis Avenue, and Irchenko Street. Concerts and interactive games will be organized in public spaces in the industrial areas of Promyshlenny, Internatsionalny, Michurino, and Kuygenzhar.
Presidential Park will offer a festive program with games, contests, and animators. The city square will host a celebratory concert featuring children with special educational needs, organized in partnership with the 'Erekche Mereke' Public Fund, followed by a fashion show by the 'Bolashak' inclusive theater. The grand opening of the 'Bereke Astana' rehabilitation center is also planned.
The 'Bala Fest' children's sports games festival will commence in Central Park. School-based camps will begin their operations across the city on June 1st. On June 2nd, the Palace of Youth will host a concert dedicated to Children's Day and the 15th anniversary of the 'Zamandas' project.
This comprehensive celebration promises a day filled with joy, learning, and memorable experiences for the children of Astana.
