Renowned Kazakh journalist Dana Nurzhigit has shared a deeply personal and poignant announcement on social media, revealing the passing of her beloved uncle, Hasan Ormanov.

Nurzhigit took to her social media page to express her grief and honor the memory of her late relative. She recounted cherished moments from her childhood, recalling her uncle's return from military service, his marriage, and his dedication to upholding the family's ancestral home in their village.

A Life Remembered

In her touching tribute, Nurzhigit described Hasan Ormanov as a witness to her childhood. She noted his recent retirement, just a month prior, after a distinguished career that saw him become a respected figure among the village's intelligentsia and veterans. She poignantly recalled that his birthday celebration on April 5th was to be his last joyous occasion.

The journalist expressed her profound sense of loss and offered condolences to her extended family. "My uncle's village is in mourning," she wrote. "Whom will I seek out, to whom will I run to be spoiled as a niece?" She invoked blessings for her uncle's spirit and extended her sympathies to his wife, Gulzipa, and their children, as well as the wider community of Dikankol village, which her uncle had enriched with his artistic contributions.
